In 1997, Dr. Culter decided to spend full time consulting and teaching. His company, AMEI, has helped solve problems for many clients in the paper, polymer, converting and consumer products packaging businesses. As an Adjunct Professor in The School of Packaging, he has developed and taught a course entitled "Polymer Science Applied to Packaging Problems" for the Online MS Packaging Program at MSU, which has been well received. He currently is working on the development of two courses of a three course series for an online Certificate Program in Packaging. So, between the consulting business and the teaching, he seldom lacks for challenges.

Dr. Culter has a BS and MS in Petroleum Engineering from The University of Tulsa, and a PhD in Chemical Engineering from University of Missouri-Rolla. He is a Certified Packaging Professional, and has been elected to the Packaging Hall of Fame and The Academy of Chemical Engineering at UMR. He has also been honored by MSU for his service to the School of Packaging by being made an Honorary Alumni of CANR.
