Previously, he held the positions of chief operating officer, executive vice president, chief financial officer, and vice president and general manager of the Cellu Products Division and Food Packaging Division. Hickey also is a director of the company.

Prior to joining Sealed Air in 1980, Hickey held various financial positions at W. R. Grace & Co., including vice president-finance of the Pacific-Latin America Division. He worked for Arthur Young & Company in various accounting and consulting positions.

Hickey holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and an engineering degree from the U.S. Naval Academy. He served as a U.S. naval officer. He is a director of Sensient Technologies Corp. and Public Service Enterprise Group and a member of the executive board of the Northern New Jersey Council of the Boy Scouts of America.

Since Hickey joined Sealed Air Corp., the company has grown from net sales of $78 million to a highly profitable corporation with net sales exceeding $3 billion.
