Ron is also the advisor to Pi Kappa Gamma, an honorary packaging fraternity whose mission is community service and support of packaging ideals. Currently, he is pursuing his Doctorate in RFID technology.

Ron worked at Johnson Wax in Racine, WI for 8 and a half years. While there, he had responsibility for advancing the technology of their Distribution Dynamics Laboratory. Ron was the packaging engineer on the Windex product line for 3 years, and worked in a cost savings capacity for the company as well. He has both a Bachelors and Masters degree form the School of Packaging at MSU.
