The Packaging Association

The inventive program, "Fast Tracking Sustainable Innovation," takes place Tuesday, Nov. 2, 1:00–4:30 pm; at McCormick Place.
PAC Green Den brings together the ingredients of successful reality television and business matchmaking:
- "Innovators" will present their solutions to Expert Panellists with sustainability and packaging experience, in front of a live audience of brand owners and retailers. Panellists include:
- Tom Szaky, Founder & CEO, TerraCycle
- Ron Sasine, Senior Director of Packaging, Walmart
- Brian Wagner, Co-founder, PTIS
Expert panelists will offer constructive feedback on their products, processes or services. At the end of the event, the audience will vote for a Best of Show winner. The three top winners will receive PAC Green Den Sustainable Awards.
- Innovators will conduct 15-minute private meetings with up to 9 brand owners, of the PAC Green Den Committee, to discuss their creative offerings in greater depth.

- TerraCycle's Tom Szaky, one of upcycling's greatest innovators, will tell the TerraCycle story in a short keynote address.
Innovators will have roughly seven minutes to present their cases to the panel and audience, and up to eight minutes to respond to feedback and commentary.
The PAC Green Den Match Maker committee will select no more than 10 entries from submissions by PACK EXPO exhibitors. Entries must come from PACK EXPO exhibitors. The guiding light for the entries is the Sustainable Packaging Coalition definition which incorporates all aspects of sustainability as related to sustainable packaging. Suppliers of raw materials, package containers, manufacturing and/or facility processes and consulting services are invited to submit their entries.
Innovator entry forms are online at https://portal.pac.ca/mpower/event/loadevent.action?e=35
